Sample Author Study Blog Management Tips

Posted by sislmc on November 17, 2007

    • Each student has a Username formatted as follows:
    • Cluster
    • Initials
    • Class
      • Example: 81TM1A
    • Students access the “Cluster Blog”, then select the “Connection Blog” link listed under the Blogroll according corresponding to the type of reader response / connection they are making (T-S; T-T; T-W).
    • Students post their connection using the format desired by the teacher.
    • All posts and comments are “moderated” by a teacher prior to being published on the site.
    • The teacher assigns a “category” to a comment when approving the comment to be published. The category represents the student’s class. This allows the teacher to sort comments by class.
    • Students can read and comment on the posted connections/responses of classmates. Through this sharing, students can get ideas for their own responses, and get feedback on a response they have written.
    • Cool, huh?
